Welcome to this blog about issues surrounding pet rescue, the need for rescue, and animal welfare. By way of introduction, I am an animal rescue volunteer in Florida and have been doing that for a dozen years or so. This blog will explore some of the reasons why there is a need for rescue in the first place, some things that might reduce the number of homeless animals that die in American shelters, and other issues that may interest pet owners. Of course, I have opinions on some subjects, and I'm sure you have opinions too. Feel free to post your comments!
